Monday's meeting

Diane and Bill talked about their cross country tour of the US, from New York to Los Angeles. In Yellowstone NP they came across a couple of interesting critters, a brown bear and a grizzly bear. Of course, Bill had his camera ready:

Then John Rogers gave a presentation entitled "in the footsteps of Wallace". Alfred Wallace was a British explorer and naturalist and John's presentation covered some of the Indonesian islands that the explorer ventured into. The presentation primarily was of the Kai Islands which are part of the Maluku Islands and are scattered between Sulawesi, Timor and Papua.

Lovely white beaches, palm trees, crystal blue waters and plenty of fishing, walking and enjoying the company of the local natives. John has spent some time in the area over the years and this presentation was very interesting.
